It was a full week beyond the expected due date when Shannon started having contractions on the morning of June 10th.. We made it to labor and delivery by 7:30 AM and were admitted immediately due to the severity and frequency of the contractions.. After about 14 hours of labor (contractions started at 5:30 AM), including several hours of "pushing" the decision was made to deliver the baby via cesarean section. At 7:56 PM the surgeons pulled Jameson out and announced that we were proud parents of a healthy baby boy. Shannon looked up at me and said "A boy?... A BOY? That means we won't have to pay for the wedding!" Sheeesh! Now that's looking ahead to the future.

Mom and baby both came home on Tuesday afternoon (6-13-2000) and are doing fine. It took us several days to get into the feeding/sleeping routine, but things are finally stabilizing and we don't hear constant crying throughout the day and night. Thank GOD!

Once the epidural kicked in everyone was happy.	Shannon could barely feel the frequent contractions.	Fortunately, we packed an ice chest and lawn chairs before we left the house.	Our families passed the time by having a tailgate party in the parking lot.
Millie dropped by and kept everyone laughing.	This is Mom's very first look at her baby.	Jameson warming up shortly after delivery.	The proud Grandpa's display their matching Grandpa caps.
The following day everyone got to hold Jameson for a while.	Grandpa Elsemore hasn't been in this position for 33 years.	Grandma Walford couldn't be happier.	Grandpa Walford wonders if he can find a fly fishing vest in Jameson's size.
Great Auntie Sharon couldn't get enough.	Father and Son take a cat nap after all of the visiting.
